Chilte is a James Beard Award-nominated, Food & Wine Best New Chef restaurant rooted in Phoenix’s Grand Avenue Arts District — and it started from a farmers market tent. Chef and owner brought Mexican culinary tradition to 765 Grand Ave with a vision that earned back-to-back ‘Best of Phoenix’ recognition from 2023 through 2026, a Bon Appétit nod, and an Esquire feature before most people even knew the name. This is what happens when a Black-owned kitchen refuses to stay small. Chilte is also a proud member of World Central Kitchen, grounding its excellence in something bigger than acclaim.
